Happy Day!!

So here I sit without sleep, but I don't care.

That's part of being post-menopausal. Sometimes ya just don't sleep so well.

So thank you all who have been dropping by my humble blog. What fun!

Here's a thought-for-the-day and then I'm off to bed and back up in oh, about three hours. Mercy.

In spite of illness. In spite of the archenemy sorrow, one can remain alive long past the usual date of disintegration if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in intellectual curiosity, interested in big things and happy in small ways.
- Edith Wharton

Have yourself a perfectly wonderful day and drop by anytime!

See, if you have all those things Wharton describes, can you really lay claim to having actual sorrow, too? Seems like they exclude each other.

Hi, me again! When I started knitting socks I used a self patterning Opal yarn - mainly because this was all the LYS had in stock, but I did try it out on some DK weight first (think thats worsted?). re: my clock problem? I think it's because where you are is 7 hours ahead of where I am? My clock is set to GMT as I'm in Scotland (although I'm not sure where that makes you?) Lets see what happens when I post this (it's 3:48pm on a boring Monday afternoon here!)
ps. when I click on your Georgia link you left in the comments, it takes me to a Japanese music site called 'Every Little Thing' - you taking up singing as well now?

Thanks for the Edith Wharton quote -- I adore her and it's a fabulous quote. Think I will copy and paste it to my depressed friend who calls me regularly with updates on how suicidal she's feeling today.

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you said, "men on pause". Never mind then, I can't think of anything funny to say.
